Raised in South Los Angeles, Joel Raul was influenced at a young age by comic books, graffiti, pop culture and anything shiny. His stencil style art shows how complex and just how similar we really are. When he adds his signature gold/metallic touch to his pieces, he shows value in a very simple way.
