Beth is a 21-year-old senior B.F.A. Studio Art major at the University of Texas at Austin. One of her earliest and fondest memories was drawing dogs with her Grandmother at the age of three. As she grew up and was constantly faced with the undying question “What do you want to do when you grow up?” she unquestionably said she would be an artist, and nothing else. Art is her passion and is the only thing she can see herself pursuing.
About “Untitled”:
To Beth, art is all about personal interpretation and how the viewer can relate to an art piece. She loves painting pictures where the viewer has his or her own personal nostalgia that they can reflect on. This specific painting can be interpreted as fun, silly, or even strange, but what she loves is that it means different things to different people. She has always loved realism and has been delving into hyperrealism, which is showcased in this painting. It is painted in oils on a 30’’ x 40’’ canvas.
